Vastu and it's significance

What is Vastu?

Vastu shastra has been practised since the ancient times. It is a science that originates from the Sthapatya Veda, which is a part of the Atharva Veda.

Vastu Shastra is an architectural system that focuses on harmony between man and nature. It is based on the five natural elements (wind, water, earth, fire, and space) as well as the four directions (East, West, North, South). It is a science that believes that the physical structure of a building can have an impact on the health and well-being of individuals who live or work in it. Vastu is thus built on the interplay of nature working through these elements and directions.

How does it work?

Vastu Shastra is based on the scientific combination of the Panch Mahabhootas - Prithvi Agni Vayu, Jal, and Akash – to produce a pleasant environment. Akash represents expansions and upgrades; Vayu represents joy and happiness; Agni represents power and fame; Jal represents spirituality and healing; and Prithvi represents stability, peace, and harmony. Vastu principles used with architecture improve health, wealth, vitality, and prosperity while also making the living or working environment calm and enlightening. Any structure that is not designed with these aspects in mind or is not aligned with the four directions will eventually cause problems for its occupants.

Vastu and it's significance.

According to quantum physics, anything with mass has an equal quantity of energy and vice versa. Einstein established E=mc2. This simply means that every regular thing with a small quantity of mass contains a tremendous amount of energy.

Every material in the universe, every particle, has energy of varying frequencies, some positive and some negative. We confine a certain amount of these particles as soon as we enclose empty space. Each particle emits varied degrees of energy, some positive and some negative. Vastu balances all these energies and creates a symbiotic relationship between the occupants, the structure, nature, and the universe.
